Assessment Prep

As previously mentioned I chose to spell out the word "ADORE" in the bouquet of flowers. I have picked out Anemone's, Dills, Orchids, Roses and Eryngium's. Because Miss Havisham was so obsessed with her past and her wedding, I wanted to add a hidden meaning and to make her character more dramatic and believable.

I researched Victorian jewellery and I found this necklace and thought it was beautiful. I really liked the colour of the flowers and pearls in the middle but I thought it would look too heavy and take the attention away from my hair and makeup design if I chose something like that. I went shopping and found a similar version that was a lot smaller, therefore wouldn't take the attention away from my design.

Whilst researching Victorian jewellery I came across this engagement ring which I thought was stunning. I found a ring similar to this one but it was square. I want my character to be wearing an engagement ring as I feel it adds to the obsession of Miss Havisham.

I also wanted her to wear a wristwatch, stopped at 8:40 - the time she was jilted. I looked through my mums jewellery box and came across this watch which is the closest thing I could find to a Victorian watch.

This is how the dress I previously cut up and stained turned out. They are the perfect "yellow" colour and it makes them look old and "withered".

Now I have got everything organised, I feel happy that my character will come together with these accessories. I have everything ready for my first continuity assessment!
