Late Victorian Hairstyles

Products:
- Pintail comb
- Hair band
- Kirby grips
- Dry shampoo/coloured hairspray
- Curling tongs
- Flowers

Steps:
1) Part the hair down the middle to create a centre parting. Section the front two sections by the ear and then create a horseshoe around the head just above the ears, leaving the remaining hair at the back down.
2) Tie the horseshoe section into a high ponytail and split into sections and curl. Once curled pin to the head to create little pin curls.
3) Take the front two sections and curl them into two pieces. Pull them up into the bun to create more curls.
4) Take the remaining section of hair and the back and curl into sections. Once finished you can spray the hair with dry shampoo or coloured hairspray and add flowers for decoration.

Below is a hairstyle similar to the one we created in our lesson.

My hairstyle:

Overall I am pleased with how my hairstyle has turned out, I like how the bun has individual curls all pulled up and pinned and the flowers make a great accessory! Unfortunately, I didn't have time to spray the hair using dry shampoo so when I came home, I used Kryolan grey hairspray instead, it came out a bit too dark which makes it look a bit unrealistic.  I will try using the dry shampoo just to see which one gives the best effect of grey hair.
